The Metalith H2O barriers are composed of prefabricated .050 corrugated aluminum panels that provide the industry's fastest-to-erect barriers against the effects of rising floodwaters or storm surges.
Not only did testing performed at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Waterways Experiment Station in Vicksburg Mississippi prove that the Metalith H2O barrier were the quickest flood protection barriers to erect by a factor of 2 times or more, they also demonstrated the best ability to withstand the hydrostatic, riverine, impact and other tests performed.
Metalith H2O barriers are dependable, easy to use, solid ballast containment structures, designed for controlling floodwaters. They come in a 3 feet tall by 4 feet deep standard configuration that can be made to any length required, even miles. They provide a permanent, or temporary, solution coupled with a 20-year warranty and an expected 40-year life. They are the most cost effective flood fighting, flood control barriers offered on the market today.
Metalith H2O flood control and flood mitigation barriers can be quickly constructed on a river bank, or pre-erected and dropped into place if they are needed as armoring spines for a failing levee, as an example.
